A little history of Sothers Studio...
Vic Sothers opened his studio in the mid-1940s in downtown Brainerd, MN. For more than 75 years, Sothers Photography has been known for its commitment to quality and service.
Current owner Mike Aulie began working at Sothers while still in high school and considering a photojournalism career. Following college, he decided to pursue a more satisfying future in portrait photography at Sothers and quickly became the primary photographer at Sothers by the mid 1970s.
In 2012, the studio was relocated from downtown Brainerd to its present location in Deerwood.
"I am one of the luckiest people alive to have been able to spend the last 50+ years in a career that I love. Being able to be excited about going to work each day and satisfy the wants of my clients is special beyond belief." - Mike
